Los Angeles, CA, (Feb. 26, 2007) -- Lucy Florence Cultural Center, the Black AIDS Institute, and Bling H20 formally announced a partnership that will raise funds to benefit the Black AIDS Institute’s Black Mobilization Movement.
To launch these efforts, Lucy Florence Cultural Center is hosting a $100 per person “Red Tie Event” on March 10, 2007 from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. Lucy Florence Cultural Center is located at 3351 West 43rd Street in Los Angeles’ Historical Leimert Park Village. The evening will be highlighted by an exclusive DVD screening of “Life Support,” the new HBO telefilm that focuses on the AIDS crisis in the Black Community. The film stars Queen Latifah, Gloria Reuben and other celebrities of note, who have been invited to attend. Guests will receive a bottle of Bling H2O in the classic frosted etched glass bottle, adorned with genuine Swarovski Crystals.
Ron and Richard Harris opened Lucy Florence in honor of their mother’s 75th birthday in 1996. Lucy Florence is home to the Le Florence Gallery, The Village Studio Theater, and Lucy Florence Coffee House. The multi-purpose cultural center houses Barbara Walden Cosmetics, Warm Spirit self-care products, and The Board Room at the Florence, a designer women’s boutique.
Bling H2O is a new, award-winning beverage company. Their signature etched, frosted glass bottles with genuine Swarovski crystals have been featured at numerous awards shows. The brand is gaining popularity among celebrities.
The Black AIDS Institute is a 501(C)(3) and is the first Black HIV/AIDS policy center dedicated to reducing HIV/AIDS health disparities by mobilizing Black institutions and individuals in efforts to confront the epidemic in their communities.
